ANNUAL REPORT 2018- 2019

ACADEMIC:-

‘The philosophy of the school-classes of one generation will be the philosophy of the government in the next ‘

I wish to begin with the performance of our school on the academic excellence which is at the heart of our endeavours as educators. Excellence in academics is the hallmark of any good institution. Standard of education is maintained to ensure academic excellence. Regular class tests and examinations were conducted. Students secured above 90% were honoured by giving medals. Profiency and full attendance awards were given to the outstanding students.

FRESHERS’ DAY:-

Freshers’ day of the academic year 2019-20 was celebrated on 6th June along with a prayer session. The Freshers were given a warm welcome with flowers, balloons and splendid cultural programmes.

CCA (Co- curricular Activity) :-

CCA was implemented to the house systems and different training programmes were provided for the students on every Thursdays from 1.30 PM to 3.45 PM which includes; Musical Instruments, Drawing, Music, Classical Dance and Karatte.

Education for the growth of the inner spirit :-

Daily morning prayer and assembly is one of several important and good practices. Each class prepares well for it with a specific theme with motivational thoughts and talks. It is a platform for the students to develop self confidence. Value education classes are conducted for each class by our Sisters.

INVESTITURE CEREMONY :-

Our school teams were officially sworn in a very impressive investiture ceremony on July 12th 2019. The school Parliament was lead by our school leader Kumari Gopika P.P. and Asst. School leader Master Antony P. Binto.

The ceremony began with the guard of honour for the Chief Guests followed by a colourful slow march. Principal Sr. Isabel Thottakkara briefed about their responsibilities.

SCHOOL HOUSES  :-

‘Strength does not come from physical capacity,it comes from unity ‘.

The students of the school are divided in to four houses such as Blue, Green, Red and Yellow. Each House is managed by teachers, the House Captain & Vice Captain. House day was celebrated with variety of programmes.

 

CLUB

Various co- curricular activities are held under different clubs to develop a child physically, morally, socially and mentally to hone skills in co-scholastic areas. Regular club activities are being held in which the students participate and display their Caliber. The different clubs are Arts, Literary, Sports, Eco, Quiz, Science and Maths club.

 

 

TEACHERS INSERVICE TRAININGS AND WORKSHOPS:-

‘Live as if you were to die tomorrow

Learn as if you were to live forever’

In keeping with the school policy of continuous up gradation of knowledge and skills, our teachers attended various workshops and seminars organized by the school  and others so as to improve their academics truncation skills and to update their capabilities.

TEACHERS’DAY:-

This year Teachers’ Day was celebrated in avery different way in our school.The day started with the morning assembly with a prayer which was led by the teachers. Students felicitated the teachers by presenting them small bouquets and cards.There was a special celebration by teachers who are talented in different areas like singing dancing etc. All the teaching staff exchanged gifts as a token of love and respect towards the teachers. Each teacher was honoured with a special gift from the side of management.

CELEBRATION:-

‘Just as sweetness cannot be separated from honey, just as beauty cannot be separated from a rainbow. Onam cannot be separated from a Keralite’s heart.

We the STEPS celebrated the Onam on 6th September with a greater joy. Onam festivities included various programmes like Thiruvathira ,Onapattuand enactment of King Mahabali. Etertainemental competitions were conducted for students and parents. Class wise pookkalam competitions were in different days. Students, Parents and teachers equally enjoyed the Onasadhya together. The programme was telecasted in CTV a channel , on the day Thiruvonam.

Christmas was celebrated in a special and colourful way. The school celebrated Christmas at Eramam Anjali Vidhyanikeden. Different things collected from students were given to the inmates. Students made their day joyful and vibrant by performing different cultural propramms. It raised community spirit in the minds of the students.

Every 14th November are remembered our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, a Charismatic leader and an architect of our modern India. The day on which the teachers organized various programs to express their love and care to the students to make them feel it’s their special day.

INDEPENDENCE DAY

School celebrated the Independence Day in a befitting manner. Chief guest Rev. Fr. Jose Elayanithottathil, Vicar of St. Mary’s Church has taken the salute. Different competitions were held to raise the patriotic spirit.

 

NTS DAY:-

Non-Teachingstaff day was celebrated in order to bring out the talents of non-teaching staff, who have a pivotal role in leading the school.

 

SPORTS:-

                        ‘To be a great champion, you must believe you are the best, if you are not , keep on trying’.

Sports competitions inculcate the spirit of positive challenges and sportsmanship among the students and prepare them for the life ahead. Our students actively participated in different sports competitions.

CONCLUSION:-

St. Elizabeth School provides a unique educational experience to every child in a safe and supportive environment that promotes self-discipline, motivation and excellence in learning. St. Elizabeth family joins the parents and community to assist the children in developing skills to become interdependent adults who will succeed and contribute responsibility ina global community.
